What it takes to join the network.
We hold our network to the highest clinical bar in virtual care. Here's what we look for.
- Licensed and credentialed clinicians specializing in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, dermatology, psychiatry, psychology, or master's-level counseling.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience post-residency
- Active state and DEA license in at least one U.S. state
- Comfortable with technology and conducting visits via video and chat
- Available a minimum of 8 hours per week
- Excellent bedside manner and member-first mindset

Prescription policy
Clinically appropriate prescribing, within the bounds of state and federal regulation, and aligned with the evidence base.
Lyric clinicians prescribe medications when medically necessary for a wide range of conditions, including antibiotics, antihistamines, antihypertensives, diabetes management, and behavioral health medications. Prescriptions are submitted electronically via SureScripts to the member's preferred pharmacy. Lyric does not dispense or stock prescription drugs.
Lyric clinicians do not issue prescriptions for DEA-controlled substances, or any drug whose abuse potential outweighs its clinical value.

- What services will I deliver?
- Depending on your specialty: virtual urgent care for acute conditions, longitudinal virtual primary care for chronic disease and prevention, behavioral health for counseling and psychiatry, and care management for high-risk populations.
- What EHR does Lyric use?
- Lyric uses our own integrated clinical platform that combines scheduling, video visits, charting, e-prescribing, lab ordering, and care plans in a single workflow, with no swivel-chair between five tools.
- Can Lyric clinicians prescribe controlled substances?
- No. Lyric clinicians do not prescribe DEA-controlled substances or non-therapeutic medications such as Viagra, Cialis, or other drugs with abuse potential. Our prescribing policy follows all applicable federal and state regulations.
- How are visits compensated?
- Currently, our clinicians are compensated on a per-visit basis. Compensation varies by specialty and shift type. Our recruiting team will share a detailed compensation grid during your first conversation.
- Do I need to handle billing or claims?
- No. Lyric handles 100% of billing, claims, and payer relationships. You will never need to code a visit or chase a claim.
